Integrated sustainability assessment using BIM

چکیده
The construction industry is responsible for 40 % of the energy consumption and 36 CO2 emissions, buildings are a significant part in Europe. Thus, growing concern regarding environmental impacts sector place. Reducing these optimise design process major priority, technology needs to be integrated along with allow better performance. Building Information Modelling (BIM) methodology one technologies that revolutionising how supply chain delivers projects, allowing an overview whole life cycle, keeping track data process, potentiating more advanced simulations supported decisions. The tool proposed this paper aims integrate different types sustainability analysis, namely Streamlined Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Carbon Footprint, Cost (LCC) Level(s) framework BIM. This involves defining adequate Product Data Templates (PDT) database structure BIM objects, including necessary parameters enable designers do holistic dynamic assessments from early stages complete LCA. Also, considering importance using visualise scenarios, graphical interface will developed show key indicators support decision-making sustainable buildings. results achieved must taken meet Climate most ambition targets reduce impact construction.

متن کاملSustainability assessment and complementarity
Sustainability assessments bring together different perspectives that pertain to sustainability to produce overall assessments, and a wealth of approaches and tools have been developed in the past decades. However, two major problems remain. The problem of integration concerns the surplus of possibilities for integration; different tools produce different assessments. The problem of implementat...
